JIM BRYSON AND THE WEAKERTHANS - The Falcon Lake Incident
"My favourite Canadian singer-songwriter paired up with my favourite Canadian band. Scotty Bowman couldn't come up with a combination that brilliant." - Grant Lawrence, CBC radio 3
"Expertly woven together by Darryl Neudorf (Neko Case), this is a musical close encounter that transports us to a place where it is just friends and music under constellations—and it really doesn’t matter where in the hell we’re calling from." indierock cafe

BLUE RODEO - The Things We Left Behind
"Blue Rodeo may very well be the best band yet to catch the attention of the wider populace...album excudes grace, eloquence and determination...Which makes the stunning The Things We Left Behind not only a record that connects instantly and emphatically, but one that's essential for anyone who needs a reminder of what makes great rock 'n' roll so fearlessly compelling in the first place" BLURT
“The Things We Left Behind is a 16-track beauty.... a perfect showcase for this uniquely-talented band. One of the most accomplished and confident records you'll hear this year. Highly recommended!" MY OLD KENTUCKY BLOG

JUSTIN RUTLEDGE - The Devil on a Park Bench in Stanley Park
"The best country songs are based on a killer story, and, man, does Justin Rutledge know how to tell 'em. No matter how soothing and warm the dude's vocals sound, how tight his backing band, it's impossible not to be distracted by the meticulously detailed snapshots of everyday people's lives that Rutledge outlines in each song." NOW - Rating NNNN - by Sarah Liss - Oct 05-11/06 - Vol 26 No 5

JILL BARBER - Chances
"With every album she’s created, Canada’s Jill Barber has inched closer and closer to the beautiful gems found on her latest, Chances." GIRLY SOUNDS
These are great songs, earnestly arranged and deftly executed, adorned with warm and fuzzy violins, period pizzicato punctuation, crystalline piano glissandos, jazzy hot-club fiddle, clarinet and guitar interplay and infectious swing-time rhythms. THE TORONTO STAR

NEKO CASE - Fox Confessor Brings the Flood
Rolling Stone - 3 stars out of 5 -- "[F]rom her luscious, aching croon, and her ensemble's solemn high-mesa twang and groove, you'd never guess she wasn't covering Patsy Cline standards."
Mojo - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[T]hese songs -- build on melodies resonant as hymns, but without traditional structures -- reveal themselves only in repetition; they're well suited for winter nights spent staring at a fire."
Uncut - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[D]rawing on Baptist spirituals, lush country-pop and torch-song twang, it's less alt.country history lesson, more fairytale fever dream of Americana."
Magnet - "Neko Case not only carries torch songs, she handles them with care. And when she belts it out, she's as stirring as her gospel heroes and as punk as Exene Cervenka."fasterlouder.com.au - Nick Argyriou

"An album rich with layered and traditional reverb vocal provided by Case, as she co-produces along with Darryl Neudorf (who had previously launched the careers of Sarah McLachlan and Case's other outfit, Canada's The New Pornographers) to release one of the most crisp and brilliant records of 2006 thus far."

""She [Neko Case] also praises Darryl Neudorf effusively. "He is like the technological genius. If I want something done, he'll know how to get it done, and he is really calming. I don't believe in creative friction. There are times things don't work and we get frustrated, but we are never mad at each other. Darryl has been teaching me the technical side of recording too, so now I can be on more equal footing.""

TWILIGHT CIRCUS DUB SOUND SYSTEM - Dub Plates Vol 2
Spin Magazine (03/2000)
"In his kaleidoscopic world, a feather weighs a ton, colors cut corners, and time eats itself...."
"...should be a landmark in post hip-hop sonic engineering"
www.digitalartifact.org -
Ryan Moore of Twilight Circus interview
"The dub-splash namesake Moore has chosen Twilight Circus Dub Sound System resonates brightly though his low-end bass production and unique style of designing the percussion within his music. "I was working as a bass player on a project in Vancouver with my friend Darryl Neudorf (producer for NeKo Case) who was excited by my evolving dub plans. He generously helped me record some basic tracks free-of-charge and let me stay in the studio after the existing sessions to have free reign over the production process. I'd stay there alone and go wild on the desk and FX rack from midnight till sunrise. The control room was air tight with virtually no ventilation, so at a certain point oxygen deprivation would set in and I'd become extremely delirious. The thoughts would start whirling into a twilight circus of the mind."
